The dyes from the material can cause problems for you.  No need for fancy colors, just get white.  Also, cotton is known to be a breathable fabric, meaning that it will allow more air flow to your vaginal area.  The bacteria that causes yeast infections thrives in moist areas, so avoid nylon underwear or other fabrics whenever possible.  This will greatly reduce your susceptibility to those pesky infections.
